PENSIONERS DISCOUNT - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 If you are over the age of 60 (sixty) years, then you will qualify for the Pensioners Discount after presenting your SASSA card or ID. 

2.1 The Pensioners Discount amount shall be up to 10% which shall be applied at the cashier and/or checkout. 

2.2 The Pensioner’s Discount is only redeemable on a Wednesday and will only be applicable to certain products which differs from branch to branch and are at the managers discretion. Enquiries can be done in-store.

2.3 If you fail to present your SASSA card or ID to the cashier, then you will forfeit your Pensioners Discount.

2.4 The Pensioner’s Discount is not transferrable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other items.

2.5 The value of the discount, jointly and severally, includes VAT.

3.1 If you fail to comply with any of these conditions or the terms of acceptance of the Pensioners Discount, you will be disqualified and will forfeit the Pensioners Discount. 

3.2 The Pensioner’s Discount is only valid for a natural person and no juristic person (including companies, close corporations, trusts and/or joint ventures) shall be entitled to a Pensioners Discount.

3.3 You may not claim the Pensioners Discount together with any other discount which Buco may offer from time to time – only one discount may be utilised per purchase. 

3.4 The Pensioners Discount may only be utilised by the individual who qualifies for the Pensioners Discount. Should Buco, in its sole discretion, determine that the Pensioners Discount may be/was applied to a third party and/or juristic person, then Buco may, in its sole discretion, refuse to grant you the Pensioners Discount and/or claim the cost of the discount from you. You are therefore urged to ensure that you utilise the Pensioner’s Discount as intended as you may qualify for same and ensure that you do not allow any third party to use the Pensioner’s Discount in your name.

3.5 Buco reserves the right to refuse to grant any person the Pensioners Discount if Buco, in its sole discretion, determines that you have not complied with all terms and conditions. 

4.1 The Pensions Discount shall not apply to products that are below cost, already discounted, Value Producing items and services (including Value Added services) provided by The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies to Customers. 

5.1 Should you qualify for a Pensioners Discount then you agree that The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies is providing you with the Pensioners Discount at The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies sole and entire discretion and as a gesture of goodwill. Buco shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage that you may suffer if Buco is unable to and/or fails to process any Pensioners Discount. 

5.2 In addition to the above clause The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies shall not be liable for:

6.1 Your privacy is very important to The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies (https://www.pepkor.co.za/retail-segments/) and it will use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by The Building company and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential.

6.2 You acknowledge that any information supplied to The Building Company, and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.

6.3 Unless you have consented, The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone, or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons.

6.4 Should you believe that The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies have used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

6.5 You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying The Building Company in writing or by registering a block on any registry which The Building Company is bound by law to recognize. The Building Company will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. The Building Company will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.

7.1 Should any dispute arise in relation to these Terms and Conditions, The Building Company and the Pepkor group of company’s decision shall be final, and binding and no additional correspondence shall be entered into by The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies.
