My Design Rules With Buco Supplies A Vegetable Garden For Rainbow Of Hope

My Design Rules, the inspirational interior design and renovation reality show has been seeing four dynamic Design Duos reimagine and reinvent four apartments in a century-old building nestled in the vibrant suburb of Sea Point, Cape Town.

The show is more than just design —it’s about realising dreams and building careers.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen the design duos transform a powder room, main bedroom and bathroom, kitchen and the lounge.

Now, as they complete their snags of the apartments – The design duos, together with Buco and Capitec employees, give back by spending a day creating a vegetable and herb garden for an NPO in Goodwood, Cape Town.

Rainbow of Hope, lovingly known as Rainbow House, operates as a place of safety for vulnerable children. As a safe home, Rainbow House is a sanctuary where neglected, vulnerable children receive physical, emotional and educational support and care.

Buco supplied the products and plants for a sustainable outdoor garden for the home where the children can enjoy fresh produce and also learn to take care of a garden.

“Its important for Buco to give back. Our purpose is building lives, building homes and building communities. ” – Lesego Mogai, Group Executive of Marketing: The Building Company.

By planting an edible garden – we hopefully inspire a future generation of foodies and gardeners.

The design duos and all those involved enjoyed the day spreading some joy at Rainbow of Hope.

My Design Rules broadcasts on Sunday evenings at 7pm with repeats on Thursdays at 2pm and Sundays 1pm on SABC3.
