Which carbon filament bulbs are best to buy?

The stalwart design of carbon filament bulbs changed the world for the better when Thomas Edison patented it in 1879 and the rest — you could say — has shed much light on its own history. Carbon filament bulbs make a stronger visual statement when compared to regular light bulbs because their filament is visible and loose.

While the light bulb arena has transformed and progressed, your need for carbon filament globes might not have changed; they are still widely used and enjoyed today. The advantages of choosing the carbon filament light bulb are plentiful:

  • They are highly common meaning that they are readily available, so replacing them is not an issue (especially when you shop at a store like BUCO)
  • Their history means they’ve stood the test of time making them exceptionally reliable
  • They light up the moment you turn them on (whereas their sodium counterparts for example, often incur a delay while they warm up or activate)
