Electrical Switches

Which electrical switches are best to buy?

Electrical switches are a common part of daily life around the home, office, and factories alike. In fact, you probably don’t give a second thought to how often you use these until they stop working. Whether you are replacing a wall switch or light switch or fitting new ones, we at BUCO have a range to suit all functions, tastes, and budgets.

How they work

Electrical switches are devices that interrupt the electron flow in a circuit, and as primarily binary devices they are either fully-on or fully-off. When the light switch is turned off, the circuit breaks and the power flow is interrupted.

Dimmer switches

A dimmer light switch changes the direction of electrical flow every time which is used to brighten or dim the light respectively. Ultimately, the dimmer switch controls the electrical cycle for dimming a light; when the dimmer wall switch is turned down low, the cycle takes longer to complete, and the light emits a lower level of brightness.
