TERMS AND CONDITIONS - BUCO Win a Trailer Competition

The promoter of the Competition is Buco, a division of The Building Company (Pty) Ltd ("the Promoter").
The name of the Competition is WIN a TRAILER ("the Competition").
The Competition will run from 14 April until 30 June 2025, both days included ("the Competition Period").
By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The Competition is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa that are South African citizens (in possession of a valid South African ID book or card) and South African residents (in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit). You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if: -
1. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition.
2. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in 6a.
To enter the Competition and stand a chance to win, participants will need to do the following:
1. Spend a minimum of R1000 in-store during one (1) purchase using cash/card, use the entry form to fill in your details and the document number found on your slip and insert into the entry box.
All purchases qualify, including those made on account.
Participants may enter each time they spend more than R1000, during the Competition Period, entrants are only eligible to win one (1) prize.
There will be one (1) trailer at every store for this competition.
Entrants to the Competition need to reside in South Africa.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information by robotic, automated or like means.
The Competition prize are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
The Winner will be contacted via telephone by the Branch Manager.
The draw for the winner will take place on the 05 July 2025. The winner will be chosen randomly from all the valid entries.
Winners will be contacted between 9am and 5pm on the day of the draw. Calls may be recorded for verification purposes.
Should the winner not be contactable (incorrect number or no answer) they will be granted a 24-hour period to get back to the store, or else another winner will be drawn, and the prize be forfeited.
Collection of the Prize from the participating BUCO stores will be done on a time arranged with the Winner.
The Building Company does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, installation; applying, or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
Winners give The Building Company (BUCO) and its authorized agents consent to use their names & photos for publicity purposes, unless refused.
The Building Company reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone, or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Buco stores and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against The Building Company.
Your privacy is very important to BUCO and it will use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. You agree to provide BUCO with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by BUCO may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in The Building Company group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by Timbercity and other companies in The Building Company group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential.
You acknowledge that any information supplied to BUCO in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.
By submitting any information to BUCO in any form, you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by BUCO under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law.
Unless you have consented, BUCO will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify BUCO from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons.
Should you believe that BUCO has used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with BUCO. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying BUCO in writing or by registering a block on any registry which BUCO is bound by law to recognise. BUCO will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. BUCO will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information by robotic, automated or like means.
