    TERMS AND CONDITIONS - BUCO Guess and Win a Rugby Ball Competition

    Validity date: 05 October – 12 October 2024

    1. The promoter of the competition is BUCO a division of The Building Company (Pty) Ltd ("the Promoter"). 
    2. The name of the Competition is the ‘Guess and Win a Rugby Ball’ (“the Competition”).  
    3. The Competition will run from 5th of October to the 12th of September 2024, both days included ("the Competition Period"). 
    4. By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
    5. To enter the competition, comment with the correct answer to the question: ‘tell us Aphelele Fassi’s nickname in the comments' on the BUCO Mother page and stand a chance to win a BUCO rugby ball signed by Aphelele Fassi. (“the Prize”). 
    1. The Competition is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa that are South African citizens (in possession of a valid South African ID book or card) and South African residents (in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit). You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if: -  
      1. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition. 
      2. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in 6a. 
    2. There will be fifteen (15) winners for the Competition, as we are giving away 15 signed balls.  
    3. To enter the Competition and stand a chance to win, participants will need to do the following:  
      1. Comment on the competition post with the correct answer. 
      2. Like and share the competition post 
    4. Entry into the Competition is free, and participants may enter only once during the Competition Period, i.e., 1 person can only comment with 1 answer. 
    5. Should participants comment more than once, they will automatically be disqualified from the Competition. 
    6.  Entrants are only eligible to win one (1) prize. 
    7. Account customers are excluded from the Competition. 
    8. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any user who comments with anything other than the answer to the question. 
    9. The Competition prize are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. 
    10. The Winner will be contacted via Direct Messaging to send their full name and contact details. 
    11. Upon the collection of the prize, the winner is required to provide their Identification Document (“ID) to the store manager as proof of identification. 
    12. An alternative winner will be drawn if after 2 days from the date of announcing the winners if the winner was not able to be contacted via the provided details. 
    13. The winner has 30 days from the day of the announcement to collect their prize.  
    14. The Building Company does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, installation; applying, or enjoying the prize won in this Competition. 
    15. Winners give The Building Company and its authorized agents consent to use their names & photos for publicity purposes, unless refused. 
    16. The Building Company reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone, or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against BUCO and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against The Building Company. 
    17. Your privacy is very important to The Building Company, Buco stores and the Pepkor group of companies (https://www.pepkor.co.za/retail-segments/) and it will use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by The Building company and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential. 
    18. You acknowledge that any information supplied to The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily. 
    19. By submitting any information to The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies in any form you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law. 
    20. Unless you have consented, The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone, or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons. 
    21. Should you believe that The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies have used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. 
    22. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying The Building Company in writing or by registering a block on any registry which The Building Company is bound by law to recognize. The Building Company will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. The Building Company will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
