    BUCO – Grocery Voucher Competition

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS - BUCO Grocery Voucher Competition  

    Participating stores: BUCO Lethlabile

    Validation period: 1 - 30 September 2024

    1. The promoter of the Competition is BUCO Lethlabile, a division of The Building Company (Pty) Ltd ("the Promoter"). 
    2. The name of the Competition is the Grocery Voucher Competition ("the Competition"). 
    3. The Competition will run from 1st to 30th September 2024, both days included ("the Competition Period"). 
    4. By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
    5. To enter The Competition, simply spend a minimum of R500 at the participating store. Spend R500 or more, complete an entry form, and stand a chance to win a Shoprite grocery voucher worth R2000. 
    1. The Competition is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa that are South African citizens (in possession of a valid South African ID book or card) and South African residents (in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit). You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if: -  
      1. You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition. 
      2. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified in 6a.  
    2. To enter the Competition and stand a chance to win, participants will need to do the following:   
      1. Spend a minimum of R500 during one (1) purchase using cash/card. 
      2. Complete the entry form and attach receipt to entry form (a duplicate receipt can be provided on request).  
      3. Insert entry form into the entry box (available at participating BUCO Store). 
      4. No Account Sales allowed. 
    3. Participants may enter the competition each time they spend over R500 during the competition period. However, each entrant is eligible to win only one (1) prize. 
    4. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information by robotic, automated or like means. 
    5. The Competition prize/s are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. 
    6. The winner will be contacted by the Branch Manager via telephone between 08:00 and 17:00 (during the store’s operating hours). Calls may be recorded for verification purposes. 
    7. If the winner does not respond or is not contactable (due to incorrect number or no answer) within 48 hours, another winner will be selected and the prize will be forfeited. 
    8. The Lucky draws for the winner will take place on 16th September 2024 and 30th September 2024.  
    9. Collection of the prize from the participating BUCO store will be done on a time arranged with the winner. 
    10. The Building Company does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, installation, applying, or enjoying the prize won in this Competition. 
    11. Winners give The Building Company, BUCO Lethlabile and its authorized agents consent to use their names & photos for publicity purposes, unless refused. 
    12. The Building Company reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone, or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against BUCO Lethlabile and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against The Building Company. 
    13. Your privacy is very important to The Building Company, Buco stores and the Pepkor group of companies (https://www.pepkor.co.za/retail-segments/) will use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by The Building company and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential. 
    14. You acknowledge that any information supplied to The Building Company, BUCO Lethlabile, and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily. 
    15. By submitting any information to The Building Company, BUCO Lethlabile and the Pepkor group of companies in any form, you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law. 
    16. Unless you have consented, The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone, or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons. 
    17. Should you believe that The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies have used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with The Building Company and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. 
    18. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying The Building Company in writing or by registering a block on any registry which The Building Company is bound by law to recognise. The Building Company will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. The Building Company will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
